Gaw

*I know I promised the death-runners next but I drew Gaw even before King Kong so I thought I'd put her first*
Height: 20 ft
Length: 75 ft
Powers: Powerful bite, head-butt, tail-slash, arms longer than other dinosaurs

Origin: Unlike the common stereotype of many lost worlds, time did not stand still on Skull Island and produced death-runners evolved from raptor stock. Every few generations among the raptorian beasts there is born a mutation of monstrous power that makes other jungle residents make for the trees: GAW! Scientists are baffled as to how a mutation can make a being at an average adult height of six feet grow to 75 feet from head to tail, but there is speculation that it may factor in to why animals like GODZILLA grow when exposed to nuclear radiation.

When the Tagatu peoples arrived on Skull Island from a land unknown, Gaw and her kin set out to eradicate their likes from the island. Luckily, the Tagatu had special herbs that kept the reptiles at bay. Also watching over them as vigilant protectors were the majestic Kongs, gigantic gorilla-like apes evolved from Gigantopithecus blacki.

Unfortunately, the herbs only worked for a short time and the Tagatu were pushed further and further to the coast, finally building the Wall to protect themselves. The Kongs eventually disbanded, and the Tagatu were at Gaw's mercy, even offering sacrifices after a fanatical religion led by Bar Atu took root.

Meanwhile, the Kong population dwindled down to only three surviving apes: a mother, father, and a son. One day Gaw came raging out of the jungle and killed the young kong's parents, and the little ape swore it would get revenge. Unfortunately, Bar Atu's religion wasn't halted after Gaw's death, it simply found a new god. However, the death-runners still swarm the green hell that is Skull Island, and it's not about if another Gaw will be born, but when.
